ADV523 Personal Project Assignment - Newhouse This project entailed exploring the digital space and defining a subject that you would like to tackle in your own personal way. The project could take a number of different forms: research paper, an experiment, interviews with key players in the field, a video case study, art installation, a digital strategy and campaign, etc.
Task: The project must explore the cutting edge or future of digital media, and that it tries to predict where it will go in the next five years as an extrapolation of the project.
Solution: Introducing “i think my teacher is a dinosaur”, a magazine style project that focuses on the dichotomy of education and technology. The creative idea was based on upcycling old things/practices into new ones, for example print to online magazines, old cartoons mixing with new digital practices and brick-and-mortar classrooms shifting into pixels and bitmojis.
