The Origin of Women’s History Month
The National Women’s History project started in 1980. Within a few short years, 14 states had already begun to declare the month of March Women’s History Month. State by state, thousands of women lobbied for the official declaration of the month-long celebration.
By 1987, Congress declared March as National Women’s History Month. What started as only a week of recognition in 1980 by President Jimmy Carter transformed into a month of highlighting the extraordinary achievements of women throughout the nation.
Women at Anywhere
Women’s History Month celebrates and spotlights women from all walks of life and their achievements across all industries, including real estate.
Sue Yannaccone founded What Moves Her℠, a trailblazing campaign to help women in real estate develop their leadership skills and support women's growth in real estate.
The program was expanded to all of our brands, helping educate and inspire women real estate professionals interested in accelerating their careers.
Honored by the Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ) in May at the 2022 Salute to the Policy Makers Gala, Shacara Delgado was recognized on the 2022 Trailblazing Policy Makers List for her change-making achievements.
She said, “It was an absolute honor to be recognized by Executive Women of New Jersey with so many of my incredible peers who inspire me to continue paving a path for women in business. I’m proud of the Anywhere commitment to operate with unwavering integrity, especially when it comes to creating new professional opportunities for women and other underrepresented groups.”

Celebrate International Women’s Day by joining the Women’s ERG for a special lunch-and-learn event!
